Meet the Client
EMIU creates Asian-inspired luxury interior fragrance products designed for the “Zen home.” Founded by a Vietnamese expat in the Czech Republic, the brand is built on the philosophy that every space should relax the senses. Prioritizing absolute quality, every EMIU candle is crafted by hand in small batches using 100% natural materials—coconut soy wax and wooden wicks—undergoing strict maturation control to guarantee a premium and unforgettable aromatic experience.
For our first collaboration, EMIU needed a versatile visual library to launch their brand. They requested three distinct product photography styles to cover their e-commerce and marketing needs:
- Solo Product Shots: Clean product images set against solid backgrounds, with colors matching their four main scent categories (Sweet, Earthy, Floral, and Fruity).
- Concept Photography: Artistic setups to visually communicate the Asian flavor profiles and the organic nature of the candles.
- Hand Model & Lifestyle: “Product on hand” shots to show the actual scale of the candle tins and add a human element to the brand.
Our Execution
To maintain EMIU’s clean and minimalist identity, we kept our styling intentional and our lighting precise:
- For the Solo Shots: We utilized geometric props—like raw concrete coasters and white stone tiles—paired with earthy background tones. This kept the focus on the product while adding a modern, structured feel.
- For the Concept Shots: We incorporated the actual raw ingredients (coffee beans, cotton flowers, botanical leaves, and cinnamon) directly into the set. We used moody, directional lighting to highlight the textures of both the ingredients and the metal candle tins.
- For the Hand Model Shots: We directed the hand model to interact naturally with the product. By experimenting with both soft pink backdrops and dynamic, hard-shadow sunlight effects, we created visuals that feel warm, approachable, and highly engaging.
The Result
We delivered a complete, high-resolution visual package that perfectly balances EMIU’s minimalist European aesthetic with its rich Asian roots. The final images provide the brand with clean commercial photography assets ready for their website, social media, and upcoming European launch.
